Jodi Barnett, M.A.

Jodi has 12 year history of managing varied evaluation and research projects focused on health promotion and the prevention of substance abuse, injury, and chronic disease. Prior to her move to Alaska, she served as an evaluation manager for the state funded Healthy Hawaii Initiative and a research manager for a 3-year randomized control trial to increase physical activity among individuals with type 2 diabetes in Scotland. During the past 6 years she has worked at the UAA Center for Behavioral Health Research and Services as an evaluation manager for multiple SAMSHA Youth Suicide Prevention grants in Alaska as well as the SAMSHA Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive grant awarded to the State of Alaska, Division of Behavioral Health. Her evaluation efforts emphasize mixed methods designs and both process and outcome evaluation methods.
