Tom Morehouse

Professor Emeritus, Political Science

Thomas Morehouse was a professor of political science at ISER from 1968 until 1994 and was acting ISER director in the academic year 1985-1986.

Dr. Morehouse was one of ISER's first faculty members. He edited and co-wrote several books, including Alaska's Urban and Rural Governments, The Dynamics of Alaska Native-Self Government, and Alaska Politics and Government. He also wrote a number of papers on Alaska Native self-government issues and was co-author of major studies of Alaska's local government system and the Alaska and British Columbia limited entry programs for the salmon fisheries.
