I design and maintain Web sites for ISER, the Center for Economic Development, Kids Count Alaska, Understanding Alaska and numerous other programs/projects.
Most of my art background has been in clay, a medium I love dearly. Web design and development offer all sorts of challenges to both the linear and non-linear sides of my brain. I'm lucky to work with many talented folks who continue to inspire me. I had the great opportunity to attend the 2008 Adobe MAX conference in San Francisco and wow! It blew me away! I've posted some of my notes from the conference- brief, but there are some good links if you're needing tips or inspiration. You'll need to have the latest version of Flash Player installed to view the notes. Below are some samples of my other forays into design and development in addition to things I think are cool.
- My first Flash map - very basic
- My second Flash project, due in large part to Lou Barber-Flash guru, choreographer extrodinaire and general all around nice guy
- "If An Architect Had to Work Like a Web Programmer"- an oldie but a goodie
- Critiquing With Non-Designers - a GREAT article from the wise folks at Viget
- Create your own font- a cool new online tool that saves hours of time if you have typographer aspirations
- Adobe Portfolio Presentation
- Recipes from the presentation - crab dip lemon berry trifle
