Getting Ready 2

What comes next if your community gets a mini-grant depends a lot on what question your community has or what other action your community wants to take. We will talk with your Project Manager and elders in your community to figure out what is best for your community.

If your tribe receives a mini-grant that is likely to involve testing animals, fish or plants for contaminants, there are some specific "getting ready" steps we need to take together. We call these Getting Ready 2.These steps are:

1. Working with a science advisor

2. Choosing an answer strategy

3. Community involvement in sampling, analysis (if possible), and interpretation of results

4. Think ahead about what different test results will mean to your community
