Amount of Spruceroot Available

Dolly Garza of Sitka noted, "You know and I think that’s an issue of spruce roots is that people would go to estuary areas where the river came out and then the water would wash over the trees and you would have better roots, but those areas get built over and used and cabins put up and pretty soon it’s just barren roots instead of a good surface for digging."
