Tracking Samples

Each lab needs to maintain a database in which each sample is tracked from the time it is received. They should track:

Time sample received
Condition of sample
Identification of sample
Integrity of sample (e.g. packaging not damaged)

Storage requirements
Chain of custody (who is responsible at each stage)

Summary of analytic procedures
Analytic results
Quality Assurance reporting
