Common Study Parameters
At its Slagelse, Denmark meeting in 1998, the team agreed to the following common study parameters:
 | A quantitative survey complemented with qualitative studies |
| A core of common questions with the opportunity for the addition of regionally specific questions |
| A focus on Inuit and Saami populations living in their traditional settlement regions, and on the indigenous populations living in Chukotka. |
| A probability sample of individuals 16 years and older |
| A reporting reference period of 12 months |
| Both households and individuals treated as units of analysis |
